All members are welcome to participate on the councils listed below. Members who are interested in being appointed as a councilwoman should email a copy of their resume to info@drakeinstitute.org with the subject line: [Insert Name of Council] Councilwoman – Candidate.If interested in being considered for a leadership position (President/Vice President) please submit your resume and letter of interest to info@drakeinstitute.org with the following subject line: [Insert Name of Council] President/Vice President – Candidate.

 

Grassroots Intelligence

This council has been formed expressly for the purpose of acquiring information from community based organizations and members of the public to help inform public policy that improves the quality of life of women in the United States. Members organize roundtable discussions, networking events, and issue forums to facilitate public discourse on areas of interest. Members have demonstrated the qualifications and/or interest in moving this commission forward. Monthly meetings are held via phone or video conferencing. Events are scheduled throughout the year. To get involved, please forward your resume and letter of interest to the Drake Institute of Research and Policy. All appointments are confirmed by the CEO. 

 

Grasstops Communications and Outreach

This council has been formed expressly for the purpose of facilitating engagement with local elected officials and members of their staff to move initiatives forward that are sponsored by the Drake Institute of Research and Policy. Council members develop relationships with local media and press to help disseminate information published by the institute. Council members attend roundtable discussions, networking events, and issue forums to facilitate public discourse on areas of interest. Members have demonstrated the qualifications and/or interest in moving this commission forward. Monthly meetings are held via phone or video conferencing. Events are scheduled throughout the year. To get involved, please forward your resume and letter of interest to the Drake Institute of Research and Policy. All appointments are confirmed by the CEO. 

Research Support 

This council has been formed expressly for the purpose of providing additional research support to the institute. Members track current events, legal cases, and legislative activity or inactivity of women legislators representing their respective districts. This council develops position statements, press releases, and local initiatives in partnership with the Grassroots Intelligence Council. Members have demonstrated the qualifications and/or interest in moving this commission forward. Monthly meetings are held via phone or video conferencing. Events are scheduled throughout the year.
